Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and the New Stove!
I have been busy working on some small projects around the house. I rearranged M's room and bought a new desk for him. I also painted his armoire with Annie Sloan Chalk paint in Graphite. I love that paint! So easy to work with and a little goes a long way! I was so pleased with the armoire that I painted the coffee table in the family room in Old Ochre and put a coat of the clear wax on it.
Both of these pieces are about 20 years old and have taken a beating. I really didn't want to get rid of them, but did not want them as they were. So I painted them. I love them now and hope to use the Annie Sloan Paint on a couple more projects.
Below is a picture of my new stove. Unfortunately, Mr. Happy has been traveling a lot, and I haven't used it as much as I would like.

Some of My New Favorites
I have been trying some new cosmetics since the beginning of the year, and I have to say that I LOVE Chanel Cosmetics! Most of the things I have gotten have come from suggestions of other bloggers. I recently bought the Rouge Coco Shine in Rebelle and love the sheerness and shine of it.
I've been wearing the Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in #32 Beige Rose for almost a year.
Yesterday I picked up some eyeshadow in Lilly.
I started using Latisse in the fall and have to say that it is truly miraculous! I've never had beautiful eyelashes. Short and thin eyelashes were what I thought I'd always have. I certainly do not have the hand /eye coordination to put on false ones nor the patience. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! A girlfriend told me about the Benefit Mascara "they're Real!". All I can say is I hope they NEVER stop making it!
These are my eyelashes now. I don't have a before, but let me just say that you wouldn't have been able to see them before.
Some projects that I have been working on include Matt's room. I rearranged the furniture and bought him a new desk and chair. All very modern which is not me at all, but I let him do the choosing. He still has a small armoire, and I'm planning on painting it with the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Graphite. Once it is all done, I hope to post some pictures.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Happy 2013!!
I have several projects that I would like to get done in 2013. The first thing on my list was getting a new stove. My 13 year old Whirlpool was loosing its juice. Whenever we left the house for an extended period of time, I would turn the breaker for it off. Since I do not have gas and sinking a tank was not an option for us, I had to get another electric stove. I can not tell you how happy I am with the GE Cafe. I LOVE IT!
Other projects include:
1. New counters and floor in the kitchen
2. Re-do M's room
3. Put in a dual fireplace between our living room and family room
4. New roof
Will it get done?!? One can dream!
We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Our daughter and son-in-law came to visit with the grandchildren. Mr. Happy and I dated over the break :) and M went skiing!
Here's to a happy and healthy 2013!

It's Been A Long Time!
Love these arrangements.
So far it's been a BUSY fall! It's also been HOT! We did have some cooler temps this morning and it's a beautiful afternoon now. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Cute Summer Dresses
I bought this cute little dress at Lola's Boutique yesterday for a birthday dinner. It's so pretty and feminine. It isn't that short on me. It comes to about 2 inches above my knees. I did try on a couple of maxi dresses and think I may go back for the one pictured below. We have two super cute boutiques in our downtown, Lola's and Dressed. Prices points are very reasonable and the jewelry is fun as well.

Daughters
My baby girl and her baby girl. I can't believe how much Abby looks like Kelsey at this age. I'm heading to Kansas next Thursday to see them and bring them back to Florida for a week. My son-in-law is in Afghanistan and is due home mid September.
These photos were taken New Year's Eve 2011. We were ringing in the 2012 at Flagler Fish House.
